Michael B. Gottlieb
Principal Attorney
Michael Gottlieb is an experienced business law attorney. His practice focuses on business law, corporate counsel, business start-ups, business purchases and sales, entrepreneur's issues, and real estate transactions. Michael is experienced in licensing compliance, including alcohol (beer, wine, and liquor), mortgage lending, mortgage servicing, consumer lending, and real estate brokers and agents, across all 50 states.
Small businesses face a variety of legal challenges, and Michael has experience and knowledge to guide his clients. From entity formation, agreements with co-owners and investors, coordination with lenders, and drafting contracts for employment, independent contractors, and customers, to regulatory compliance, coordination with tax professionals, licensing, and litigation, he can assist a small business on all legal matters.
Michael is a member of the Oregon State Bar and Washington State Bar. He obtained his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, with a Certificate in Business Law, from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College.
Matthew Bonds
Associate Attorney
As an associate attorney, Matthew’s multi-faceted areas of practice include contractual and licensing work within the alcohol industry, intellectual property, and mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Gottlieb Law, Matthew worked in the legal department at Nike, Inc., where he specialized in intellectual property.
Matthew holds a J.D. from New York Law School, where he was a member of the student government, and the President of the Media, Entertainment, and Fashion Law Association. He is admitted to practice in both Oregon and New York.
Prior to law school, Matthew worked in the legal industry, assisting disabled tenants. He attended Hunter College in New York, NY.
Matthew is a native New Yorker, and a relatively recent Oregon transplant. In his free time, Matthew enjoys immersing himself in everything Oregon has to offer, including rooting for the Timbers, cycling, skiing, and camping with his Aussie Corgi mix, Toby.
